Dapper Dan's autobiography is not out yet and it's already being turned into a movie. Stand-up comic and writer Jerrod Carmichael has signed on to adapt the story of Harlem's beloved designer into a movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dan's book is set for release in 2019 with the movie to follow after that.
Last year saw Dapper Dan return to the fashion world after Gucci helped him design a capsule collection and establish plans to re-open his iconic store. The move came after Gucci were accused of copying one of his 1980s streetwear designs. Dan will serve as a producer on Carmichael's movie.
