Oneohtrix Point Never announces new album Age Of
The project is set to drop on June 1st via Warp Records.
Oneohtrix Point Never is gearing up a heavy run of music for the summer time; the eclectic musician just announced a new album titled Age Of, a 13-track project which is to be released on June 1. The project will be 0PN's first solo effort since his 2015 effort Garden of Delete; the producer is also coming off an award for best soundtrack at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival for his Good Time score. According to a statement, the album weaves "a tapestry of disparate musical histories -- early music, country and folk balladry, melodic pop, computer music."
The news comes fast on the heels of the announcement of three shows that the producer is doing in collaboration withe Red Bull Music Festival titled MYRIAD, which looks to be a multi-level performance of music and visuals. The performances, which sold out after 72 hours, will take place on May 16-18 for the RBMF at the Park Avenue Armory. More information is available here.
