Welcome to Marwen is the crazy looking new movie from director Robert Zemeckis (Back To The Future, Forrest Gump). Steve Carell stars in the lead role as artist Mark Hogancamp recovering from a brutal attack at the hands of a group of Nazis by creating a miniature World War II town named Marwen. The true story sees Hogancamp create lifelike dolls inspired by the women in his life to “tell the story.”
Janelle Monáe stars as the physio tasked with helping Carell's character gain his mobility again as he recovers from the attack. The movie, due out November 21, also stars Leslie Mann, Diane Kruger, Merritt Weaver, Gwendoline Christie, and Eiza Gonzalez.
Welcome to Marwen is Monáe's first movie role since 2016’s Hidden Figures. Earlier this year, she released her latest studio album Dirty Computer.
