Pusha-T, Janelle Monáe, Oneohtrix Point Never confirmed for inaugural Red Bull festival in Berlin

Jlin, Sevdaliza, Nina Kraviz, and more will also appear across five weeks of events in the German city.

Red Bull Music Festival has announced its first event in Berlin. Pusha-T, Janelle Monáe, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jlin will all take part in a variety of performances and lectures across five weeks in September and October.

The Berlin festival will mark the 20th anniversary of Red Bull Music Academy. The line-up also includes Nina Kraviz, Dixon, Tony Allen, and Jeff Mills plus Berlin installments of Red Bull staples Culture Clash and Diggin’ in the Carts.

Pusha-T and Janelle Monáe will both sit down and will chat with the public during two separate chats. Oneohtrix Point Never and Jlin, meanwhile, will create works for the world premiere of the Symphonic Sound System, a new 4D spatial sound system.

Dutch experimentalist Sevdaliza will also debut The Great Hope Design. Made in collaboration with with LA-based German choreographer RubberLegz a press release describes their work as "an alternative, heart-led reality, using Berlin’s storied Volksbühne theater as a laboratory."
