Please mainline Cher’s “GIMME! GIMME! GIMME!” cover into my bloodstream

Omg.

In the pantheon of good songs to hear when you've had 2.2 alcoholic beverages, nothing comes close to ABBA's “GIMME! GIMME! GIMME!.” Between the flutes, the horny lyrics, and that stomping beat, the song is really in its own lane. Most importantly — until now — the song is the backbone to Madonna's "Hung Up" (the best song to hear when you've had 4.5 alcoholic beverages). On Thursday, Cher released the first track from her album of ABBA covers, the very necessary coda project to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the sequel movie in which she stars and completely steals the show.

Cher's version of "G!G!G!" is not so much a cover, as much as it is tribute to all of the dance floor fun that the original has provided. Her vocal track is echoey and surreal, like it was recorded in the middle of a rave on the Moon. The music contains all of the important notes of the original and adds digital flourishes which makes it feels new. It's spectacular and I can't wait for the album's nine other tracks.
