Drake made a young fan's wishes come true when he visted her in hospital in Chicago over the weekend. Pictures of Drake and 10-year-old Sofia Sanchez were posted on the rapper's Instagram on Monday and the Chicago Sun Times has the full run-down on how the visit came to happen.
Sanchez is in hospital waiting for a heart transplant at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She underwent open heart surgery in July after being diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a condition that can lead to heart failure. She now requires a heart transplant to survive.
The young child is a big fan of Drake and filmed herself doing the "In My Feelings" challenge while she recovered from her surgery. She also knew he was due in town as part of his Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour and recorded a message asking him to visit her while she's away from home.
Someone, somewhere was clearly paying attention and Drake managed to find time in his schedule to pay Sanchez a visit. Posting about his time with her on Instagram, Drake wrote: "Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball💙💙💙."
