In celebration of 15 years since the release of his debut album Trap Muzik, T.I. dropped by NPR's Tiny Desk to perform a brief concert backed by a mini orchestra. The Atlanta trap music veteran ran through three hits from his lengthy catalog — rapping "Rubber Band Man," "What You Know," and "Live Your Life" to the sounds of violins, horns, and cellos played by a team of talented teenage musicians from the Atlanta Music Project.

Tip also had a few words for the crowd about the tracks that he performed, sharing that his house was raided by police during the video shoot for "Rubber Band Man," which was his first big hit.

"That was a very bittersweet moment for me," he shared with a smirk. "But I think that's all in the essence of trap music. It's about the elements that people have to endure in their lives everyday, and make a way out of no way."
