In Baton Rouge's deep roster of rising rappers, few have stayed as true to the historical sound of the city than 70th Street Carlos. He often raps over booming drum patterns and tuba basslines that recall BR's mid-2000s output and demand movement from the listener.

His latest, "Bleachers," is no different: over bells and a high-pitched synth line, he half-shouts his percussive verses. But the new video for the song, which premieres on The FADER today, is something completely different, showing Carlos staging a prison break with the help of alien visitors. “The purpose of this video was to think outside the box," Carlos told The FADER. "I love to stand out and I feel like this video shows my playful personality. I knew if I teamed up with Rich Porter for the video it would be crazy.”
