Future tries EDM pop on “Take You Back”

If you thought "Fresh Air" from Future's 2017 album Hndrxx was underrated, you'll probably take a shine to Future's poppy direction on his latest song "Take You Back." The catchy new track shares an instrumental with CupcakKe's song "33rd," and takes the song to lovesick places CupcakKe wasn't considering for her original version. The song follows Future's BEASTMODE 2, a collection of harder-edged rap made with Zaytoven. On Tuesday, Future appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to perform BEASTMODE 2's "31 Days" and pay tribute to Mac Miller.
