Joey Purp and Kami argue whether cereal is a soup, who’s getting into the hip-hop Hall of Fame, and more on Would You Rather

The level at which the cereal-soup debate goes is unchartered territory.

October 31, 2018

Joey Purp and Kami, two of the original founding members of the SAVEMONEY crew out of Chicago, have been honing in on their individual sounds over the last few years. That work culminated in 2018 when they delivered Quarterthing and Very Slight, respectively. It's yet to be seen if 2019 will see a return of their duo, Leather Corduroys.

While they were in town for a sold out show at NYC's Mercury Lounge, they stopped by The FADER office to really debate the criteria for considering cereal as a soup (very strong arguments on both sides). Panera even chimed in on Twitter. Afterwards they quickly come up with the first class that should be inducted into a hip-hop Hall of Fame as well as decide to burn all their Vetements, with good reason. And then they finally pick duets to sing at a karaoke night with legendary singers Prince and Aretha Franklin.

This week's questions include:
1. Have cereal be considered a soup vs. Soup be considered a cereal
2. Induct Lil B first into the hip-hop Hall of Fame vs. Soulja Boy
3. Burn all your Ralph Lauren vs. All your Vetements
4. Have a karaoke night with Aretha Franklin vs. Prince
