A Polish musician has won first place in a televised Polish talent competition for a blackface impersonation of Drake, Global News reports.
The Polish musician Bogumil “Boogie” Romanowski darkened his skin for his performance of Drake's 2016 hit "Hotline Bling" on the Polish program Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo, or Your Face Sounds Familiar, where contestants impersonate other musicians. Romanowski won a charity prize of 10,000 złoty, approximately $2650 USD.

On November 2, Drake accused the Vancouver's Parq Casino of racial profiling. "[The casino was] profiling me and not allowing me to gamble when I had everything they originally asked for," the rapper wrote on his Instagram stories. The casino apologized in a statement and said it "stands against racism."
