Peter Sagar emerged from the same Montreal indie scene as fellow Edmontonian Mac DeMarco, and joined his touring band while growing his own cult following for the different music he released under his solo moniker Homeshake. On Friday, he shared the fourth Homeshake project, a synth-driven record called Helium. The comfort the songs evoke range from a warm blanket in front of a glowing laptop, to a deep head scratch from your favorite person. In each case, the music of Helium blocks out the increasing harsh white noise of the outside world to an oasis-like effect. Listen below.
