Newark-based hip-hop collective Highclass Hoodlums — comprised of members Proda and Infinitee — much like their name, have found a rare balance of sophisticated and rowdy in their music. On their newest full-length Platinum Dream (which you can stream below), the group dish out dizzying lyricism over thumping-ass 808s and soft, pinging synth melodies for a result that just slaps.

Today — via The FADER — Highclass Hoodlums present a short film also titled Platinum Dream to go with the album. Watch it up above.

The 7-minute Danielle Boyd-directed visual is highlighted with sounds from the album and begins with a heated debate about Apple AirPods. One of the homies ultimately pulls up with a new flashy set of "Platinum Dream" earbuds that (literally) transports the gang into a dreamlike state.

"Platinum Dream is the sonic manifestation of what it means to be a Highclass Hoodlum," group member Proda tells FADER via email. "It is understanding and being fluid in both sides of the spectrum, sophistication, and rawness. With that duality, we build! Using the gems of our past and present we create the future. We are a new breed of alchemists, sonic stylists. Platinum Dream is an affirmation that the possibilities are infinite."
