Slow Pulp is a band formed in Wisconsin but currently based in Chicago that makes tender and slyly powerful indie rock perfect when you're caught in your feelings. Next month, May 15, Slow Pulp will release new EP Big Day, and are premiering the lead track "High" via The FADER. It's explosive from the off, packed with big riffs and elevated by singer Emily Massey's feather-lite vocals. Turn it up loud.

Speaking to The FADER about the band's new EP via email, Emily of the band said: "After moving to Chicago in September, I got a job teaching ballet to kids ages 18 months to 8 years old. It was the first time I interacted with these age groups in such a close capacity. The way that they so clearly expressed their self discovery impacted me in a way that I hadn’t realized until I started writing lyrics for our upcoming EP. While writing this project, we had many conversations about how we internalize our first experiences, which ended up becoming the core of the EP.
