Per Complex, representatives of Tay-K, the 19-year-old Long Beach rapper currently serving a 55-year sentence for murder, have asked fans to send the incarcerated rapper money, letters, and books while he’s in prison. “SEND TAY LETTERS AND BOOKS,” a representative wrote on his Twitter “PUT MONEY ON HIS BOOKS WHILE HE’S IN SAN ANTONIO,” providing a mailing address for Bear County Adult Detention Center, where Tay-K is imprisoned.

While the rapper was convicted of murder, his lawyers have appealed the conviction and sentence. Tay-K was convicted earlier this year; controversially, authorities used lyrics from his hit song “The Race” as evidence in his trial. Read 'The tragic, complicated end to Tay-K's race' here.
