Q-Tip to put his private art collection on display in New York

“Q-Tip: The Collection” will open at Bonhams from September 20.

Q-Tip has revealed plans to exhibit his private art collection in New York. "Q-Tip: The Collection" will be on display from September 20 to October 4 at Bonhams and marks the first time the Tribe Called Quest musician's art collection has been made available to the public.

The collection includes the Richard Prince work featured on the cover of Tribe's 2016 album We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service. Also featured are works by Fab 5 Freddy, Nina Chabel Abney, Hassan Hajjaj, and Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine.

Last fall Q-Tip taught a music course at NYU. More recently he has executive-produced Danny Brown's upcoming album uknowhatimsayin? That album is due for release on October 4.
