Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding had the biggest streaming week of 2019

Post Malone is quickly cementing himself as a commercial juggernaut.

Post Malone has seemingly cemented his status as a commercial juggernaut with the #1 debut of Hollywood’s Bleeding, his follow-up to last year’s also-#1-charting beerbongs & bentleys. As Billboard reports, with 489,000 equivalent album units moved, Hollywood’s Bleeding had the second biggest debut of the year after Taylor Swift’s Lover, which racked up a gargantuan 867,000 album equivalent units in late-August. Hollywood’s Bleeding was led by the singles “Goodbyes” featuring Young Thug, “Sunflower” featuring Swae Lee, and “Circles.”

Notably, Hollywood’s Bleeding had the biggest streaming week for an album this year, with 278,000 streaming equivalent album units. That’s around 365.4 million streams of the 17 songs on the record. That figure beats out this year’s previous record holder, Ariana Grande’s thank u, next, which achieved 307.1 million streams in its debut week. Both albums, as well as Swift’s Lover, were released by Republic Records.
