The Lamb, the sophomore record by Chicago artist Lillie West, aka Lala Lala, is one of the year’s most visceral, distinctive rock records. The hazy, 12-song record floats from heartbroken indie through Molly Nilsson-style twilight pop through punk-tinted missives; it’s an album that the name Lala Lala belies the complexity of.

Ahead of going out on tour with fellow Chicagoans Whitney and Twin Peaks, West has shared a CURRENT MOOD playlist with The FADER featuring songs she would choose to soundtrack a movie. “These are the songs that would be on one of my movie soundtracks,” West tells The FADER via email. “Listen to while riding a bike at night.
