Shaggy says there’s an internet scammer posing as him

Someone is trying to defraud Shaggy fans, and the artist himself posted a warning on Instagram.

If you've recently received a message from Shaggy who insists that you owe him money, the artist himself wants you to know it's not him, and he's not feeling very Boombastic about the situation.

As Complex points out, the reggae musician posted a statement on Instagram yesterday to denounce "an internet scam" involving "posts online from people purporting to be me and hitting up my fans for money while making false claims that they owe me something."
