Dolly Parton will be getting an eight-episode Netflix series of stories based on her music, Rolling Stone reports. The series, Heartstrings, will feature both new and classic music from the Smoky Mountain Songbird. It will be released on November 22nd, and is to feature acting from Kathleen Turner, Delta Burke, Gerald McRaney, Ginnifer Goodwin, Julianne Hough, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Timothy Busfield, Melissa Leo, and Parton herself. Watch the trailer below. Heartstrings is Parton’s second Netflix project, following last year’s Dumplin’, which heavily featured her music. Earlier this year, Parton performed at Newport Folk Festival alongside Brandi Carlisle and the Highwomen, according to Rolling Stone.
