Listen to Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs remix Instupendo’s “Earring”

Released in June, Brooklyn-based dream pop artist Instupendo's "Earring" is a lush and melodic moment of introspection and bliss. In the hands of Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs, however, it is transformed into a different beast entirely. Gecs fans will instantly recognize the corrugated beats, pitch-shifted vocals, and lurching combo and synths and drum sounds that leave you both giddy and queasy in equal measure. "I'm an accessory, lost in a fantasy, what a wonderful world," Instupendo sings harmoniously as the world falls in around him.

The remix is the first from Instupendo's forthcoming Bbg Remixed: R project, a collection of remixes of 2019 EP Boys By Girls. Speaking to The FADER, Instupendo said: "I'm glad Dylan didn't hold anything back on this remix. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when he first sent it over, five glitter-bursting seconds in, I realized I had every reason to be excited -- it's 100% Dylan Brady."
