El-P has announced a reissue of his extensive solo catalog through Fat Possum Records, beginning today with the release of his 2007 record I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead on streaming services for the first time. The rest of the El-P catalog will drop on streaming services throughout 2020. Physical editions of the albums will also be reissued.

I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead was met with widespread praise upon release. The record features collaborations with Trent Reznor, The Mars Volta, Aesop Rock, Cat Power and Cage. The album was originally released on El-P’s own label Definitive Jux, which was retired in 2010.

"This record means a lot to me. really, it’s a collection of short stories written from multiple perspectives… different characters living in the same confused, askew city of ‘Poisenville,’” El-P writes in a statement about the I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead reissue. “No one is right in these stories and no one has the moral high ground but everyone is trying to keep themselves from suffocating under the weight of their own reality and faults… [the album] ends with the discovery of something bigger than the maze of inner turmoil these characters feel: a resolve to fight for life, even if it's someone else’s."
