Taylor Swift plays the boss of a company who manspreads on the subway, smokes cigars, pees in public, and is celebrated for doing the bare minimum while looking after his daughter in her satirical new video for "The Man."

The video ends with Swift, back as herself and in the director's chair, telling the man (voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) to do the shot again but be "sexier and more likeable." Swift's style as director might not be subtle but her message comes through loud and clear.

"The Man" is taken from Swift's 2019 album Lover. Last month Miss Americana, a documentary following Swift as she underwent a personal and political awakening, debuted on Netflix.
