With the bizarre weather of hail and snow in NYC in May on top of a worldwide pandemic, we could all use some music to help distract us from our indoor lives. Grab a seat for a live performance from Hanni El Khatib of "HOW" in front of a projection of the anime Golgo 13: The Professional. The moody synth-driven track is a cover of the early '80s song "How Can I?" by Mark Mitchell. It was originally produced by Juan Atkins.

In an email, Hanni broke down his connection to the song and his original plans for it: "This track sort of embodies one part Bladerunner, one part Cowboy Bebop and two parts the vibe of the space coyote in that Simpsons episode where Homer eats a psychedelic pepper. Originally I envisioned Freddie Gibbs singing the hook, but it never went down so we went with the version we have now. It ended up being one of my favorite tracks on the album. A ballad of heartbreak and self-reflection."

"HOW" will be on his fifth album FLIGHT which is out this Friday.
