Electronic producer Machinedrum will share his new album A View of U on October 9 via Ninja Tune, and today dropped the projects first two singles.

The marquee release is "Kane Train" featuring Freddie Gibbs, the Indiana rapper who's kept his hot streak going pretty much since his 2009 debut (his latest album, the Alchemist collaboration Alfredo, came out in May). Machinedrum chops up soul samples and pumps up his drums to get Gibbs into his mafioso bag; the resulting song sounds like a lost classic of some other dimension's blaxploitation era.

Along with "Kane Train," Machinedrum dropped "Ur2yung." The instrumental track recalls modern-day Avalanches with its reverbed, delirious vocals and sundrenched boom-bap. Listen to that below. A View of U is out October 9.
