Wiki’s music video for “The Act” is a home movie

If ever there was a year to permit a little self-indulgent nostalgia, 2020 would be it, and New York rapper Wiki is looking back in the music video for his song "The Act," taken from his great 2019 album OOFIE. There's lots of footage of a kiddie Wiki in the video — it's super cute, yes, but the opening footage of a young Wiki reflecting on his reputation gives the ruminative song and its video new resonance. As the video progresses we see Wiki grow up, perform on stage, and eventually become the toothless fire-spitter we know and love today. Watch above.
