Flying Lotus' debut feature film, Kuso, quickly became a cult classic among fans of body horror and experimental electro-jazz after premiering at Sundance in 2017. Today he announced a sophomore cinematic effort titled Ash. Written by Jonni Remler, the plot will folllow a woman who "wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, her investigation into what happened setting in motion a terrifying chain of events," per Deadline. "I’ve a strong desire to innovate in the sci-fi space,” he told the site, “and I really want to show the world something they’ve never seen before."
