Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri announced today that the platform has introduced Favorites and Following, two alternate ways for users to view their feeds. The features are meant to help personalize the app experience as the company continues to add more suggested content to user's feeds. Instagram's current format blends these suggested posts with those from followed accounts. But now, users will have the option to view only content from accounts they follow (Following mode) and from a smaller set of up to 50 selected accounts (Favorites).

"We want you to be able to shape Instagram into the best possible experience," Mosseri wrote, "and giving you ways to quickly see what you’re most interested in is an important step in that direction."
