Tame Impala might not be the first band you think of when you think of music small children are into but there seems to be a kinship between the Australian rockers and their fellow countrymen, The Wiggles. This weekend they solidified their bond when Kevin Parker joined the kids group on stage at Perth’s RAC Arena, joining in with their cover of Tame hit "Elephant" plus a Wiggles original. Check out footage from the gig above.

The Wiggles first covered "Elephant" last year during a radio session for Triple J. Their take on the psych-rock song mixed in elements of their own pro-healthy eating anthem "Fruit Salad" (sample lyric: "Fruit salad, Yummy yummy") and went Top 10 in Australia.

Speaking about joining The Wiggles on stage this weekend, Parker told Triple J: “When I got the invitation I knew it was a once-in-a-life time opportunity so it was an obvious yes. The Wiggles are the real rockstars in this world. I was pretty nervous!”

Parker was also on stage to sing "Hot Potato" with the band. See below for that. Earlier this year Tame Impala released The Slow Rush B-Sides and Remixes, a collection of bonus material recorded during the making of the band's 2020 album.
