Jerrod Carmichael is having a big year in 2022. Last month his stand-up special Rothaniel was released, with Carmichael speaking openly about his sexuality for the first time. Soon after he hosted SNL alongside musical guest Gunna. Now comes the first look at his directorial feature debut, On The Count of Three. The movie features Carmichael alongside Christopher Abbott as a pair of depressed buddies who vow to kill each other by the end of the day. However, when push comes to shove, they can't carry out the deed. What follows is a pitch black comedy that asks 'How would you spend your last day on earth?'
On the Count of Three will premiere in theaters and on VOD from May 13. Tiffany Haddish, Henry Winkler, and JB Smoove also star alongside Carmichael and Abbott. Watch the full trailer above.
