boygenius have released their long-awaited debut album, titled The Record, and to accompany it is a short film (The Film). The 15-minute short is directed by Kristen Stewart, best known for her roles in Spencer and Crimes of the Future.

The Film essentially stitches together videos for three The Record songs. The tracks, “$20,” “Emily I‘m Sorry,” and “True Blue,” were released earlier this year and are each led by the three members of boygenius; Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus. Stewart films Baker as she carries out maintenance on an old car, Bridgers at a monster truck arena, and Dacus painting her apartment a shade of blue.

boygenius will embark on a 28-date North American tour later this year, including stops at Coachella (April 15 and 22) and Columbus, Ohio’s Kemba Live! Festival (June 23).

After three shows in April, the tour kicks off in earnest in June and runs until August. Tickets go on sale March 31 at 12 p.m. local time. Support for the dates will come from Bartees Strange, Carly Rae Jepsen, Broken Social Scene, Claud, and Illuminati Hotties across the tour. Several of the shows fall under Live Nation’s Re:SET Concert Series, a roadshow curated by boygenius themselves; Clairo, Dijon, and Bartees Strange will perform on those dates.
