Ahead of his forthcoming album, ANIMALS, Kassa Overall is sharing his newest single. "Going Up" is another track that enlists a packed lineup of features with Lil B, Shabazz Palaces, and Francis and the Lights. There are plenty of guests throughout the LP, including Danny Brown, Wiki, and GRAMMY award-nominated jazz trumpeter Theo Croker.
"Going Up" is a song about giving everything you have to someone who doesn't want you back. The song begins with frenzied jazz instrumentals before going into Francis and the Lights' yearning hook. The pop artist sings, "Please, ‘fore I let you go / Take this little piece of me / I know it isn’t anything / But you can’t have it all." Lil B and Shabazz Palaces both join in for their respective verses, adding their experiences with falling in love.
