Angus Cloud, the 25-year-old actor best known for his performance as Fezco on HBO's Euphoria, has died. No cause of death was revealed by his family, who shared a statement on his passing with Entertainment Weekly:

"It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today," they shared in a statement. "As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."

The statement mentions the passing of Cloud's father, who was buried one week ago, saying Cloud "struggled intensely" with the death. "Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss."

Cloud was just an 18-year-old Oakland native when a casting agent approached and asked him to audition for the show that would become Euphoria. While the program made Cloud a household name, Euphoria benefited considerably from his performance as a conflicted and loyal drug dealer shrouded in melancholy. “It's a whole different character,” Cloud said of speculated similarities between himself and Fezco. “We just talk the same.”

Outside of Euphoria, Cloud modeled for Gap and Fila, and had projects in the works including a Universal Monsters film and Freaky Tales, a film co-starring Pedro Pascal.

"I never really had goals or ambitions," Cloud told Greatest. "But lately I've been like, 'Fuck it. I'm going to just figure it out.' It's a freedom of not knowing, of not having a plan, or not being someone who gets stuck with a college degree they never end up using."
