Soul Glo have joined Sound of Saving‘s YouTube series “Song That Found Me At The Right Time” in partnership with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, contributing their own cover today (August 16). Vocalist Pierce Jordan introduces the track by dismantling stereotypes about musicians who make their type of music. “Most people who play really aggressive music are pretty mild-mannered,” he says. “And I feel like partially it’s because you’re able to get out those really extreme feelings. I find people expect us to be crazy or something. I mean, I am crazy, but I’m not dangerous or unpredictable or evil.”

Jordan continues by revealing his relationship with mental health and how art has helped both him and his peers: “To be honest with you, art is the only thing that keeps my desire to be here.”

In the cover, Soul Glo adds their nuanced and left-field approach to the track's heavy dealings with depression and mental health.
