50, who is currently touring in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, is far from the only artist whose concert schedule has been affected by heat concerns. July 2023 was the hottest recorded month in human history; that month saw extreme heat lead to the cancellation of the Harlem Festival of Culture in New York City, and the hospitalization of 17 concertgoers at an Ed Sheeran concert in Pittsburgh with heat-related illnesses. Last week in Houston, 35 Snoop Dogg fans attending a show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion sought treatment for overheating with 16 being admitted to the hospital.
