Show Me The Body have announced a new live album, arriving in just over two weeks. Live & Loose In The USA — compiling performances from New York’s buzziest hardcore act’s notoriously wild shows across the country — is due out October 27 via Loma Vista Recordings. The record features music from all parts of the SMTB’s three-album, one-mixtape, four-EP discography, as played in Detroit, Santa Cruz, Baltimore, El Paso, Baton Rouge, Santa Ana, and Brooklyn. It will follow the band’s most recent full-length release, 2022’s Trouble The Water, and that record’s remix EP, which dropped in August.
In honor of SMTB’s announcement, the group have released the lead single from the record, a medley of two of their older songs — 2019’s “Camp Orchestra” and 2016’s “Metallic Taste” — played back to back in Santa Ana. The compound track comes with a video that overlays Raz Azraai’s translucent, black-and-white concert photos atop Colin Cooper’s color footage of the show, edited together by Tim Oakley to fascinating effect.
