Nicki Minaj fans will have to wait a little longer to hear her new album Pink Friday 2 after she postponed the release date by nearly a month. The album, which was originally due on November 17, will now be released on December 8. That date will be a double celebration for Minaj, who will turn 41 on the same day.

Minaj announced the date change on Instagram Live on Tuesday evening. "The new album date for this incredible body of work, that I am so proud of is on a special day to me and to the Barbz — it will come out on my birthday," said Minaj (via Rolling Stone). "Pink Friday 2 I am so happy to announce will be out on my birthday."

Pink Friday 2 is Minaj's first album since 2018's Queen and a sequel to her 2010 debut, Pink Friday. The new release date is technically its third, with Minaj originally planning to have the album out in October.
