FKA Twigs turned 36 on Tuesday (January 16) and, as DJ Mag points out, she spent some of her day communicating with her fans on Discord. During their chat, twigs let slip that she is working on a new album inspired by techno music.

“I moved to Prague a couple summers ago, fell in love with techno, the album isn’t techno but the spirit is there fr,” twigs wrote on her the twigscord. Discussing the vibe of the album, she added: "It's deep but not sad. I'm not sad anymore."

twigs added that she is working with producer Koreless on the album. Last year the pair shared some new music they made together during a Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week.

In October last year twigs said she was going "back to the drawing board" after nearly 100 of her demos and unreleased tracks were leaked online.

Meanwhile, earlier this month she spoke out after a Calvin Klein advert in which she appears in her underwear was banned in the U.K. twigs criticized the decision by the Advertising Standards Agency, calling out "double standards" when her work was censored and similar campaigns starring men were deemed acceptable.
