Experimental singer-songwriter claire rousay has announced sentiment, the prolific artist's first album for Thrill Jockey. Out on April 19, you can now hear its lead single "head."

The new song displays a take on bedroom pop only rousay could have made: disquieting, desperately lonely, and utterly liberated. In a press release, she said that the sound reflects the direction of the album as a whole. “I have been on a quest to communicate my feelings and ideas as clearly as possible lately. Pop seemed like the way to do that this time.”

rousay's first Thrill Jockey release came in November 2023 with the charity single "i no longer have that glowing thing inside of me," benefitting displaced Gazan families. In 2022 she released EP-length collaborations with Anne-F Jacques (a very busy social life) and Jacob Wick (anything you can do...). An album called Never Stop Texting Me with More Eaze was released in February 2022.
