Stranger Things 5 sets premiere date for fifth and final season
Netflix has also shared a teaser trailer ahead of the November launch.

Netflix has confirmed details of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. There has not been any new episodes of the hit sci-fi series in three years but that will change this December when the show comes to an end. News of the roll-out was announced at Netflix's TUDUM event this weekend with cast members Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin all present.
It was there that it was confirmed that Stranger Things 5 will be rolled out in three volumes spead across November-December 2025. The first four episodes will land on the streaming service on Wednesday, November 26; three more will arrive on Christmas Day (December 25); and the series finale will drop on New Year’s Eve (December 31). Each of the three blocks will be available on Netflix at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the day of release.
In addition to the dates and times, Netflix has also shared a logline for the final season of the show. “The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown.
Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time”
