The third annual NYC Food Film Festival is coming up this weekend, and it looks like the best event is happening on Sunday, when fleshy, spore-bearing fungi foods and fleshy, spore-bearing fungi films will collide to make fleshy, spore-bearing fungi MIND EXPLOSIONS. Ron Mann's film Know Your Mushrooms gets inside the complex world of mushroom hunters on their quests to find wild psychoactive edibles. Heed the words of these wise mycologists because you never know when you'll be wandering out of a dark, damp forest in an unfamiliar spiral galaxy searching for your glasses in only your underwear.
