Mixed Up

February 15, 2006

You might presume nightlife in Ottawa to be little more than some really bitchin Senators victory parties, but the dudes of Disorganised have been setting it off extra-proper with Canadadelic soundclashes the first Friday of every month. The Ottawa Xpress sez they create "an atmosphere reminiscent of high school drinking in your friend's basement," but your friends don't own as many good records (unless your friends are our friends, in which case, never mind). This weekend, the boys hit the US for some club guest appearances, check more details (and a 'sclusive bonus mp3) after the jump.

First up is a Thursday night gig at Cambridge's Enormous Room with Certified Bananas. Along with the DJ sets, the night also features a live performance by Bonjay (Disorganised DJ Pho and singer Alanna Stuart), who have been rocking our minds with their dancehall version of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Maps" over South Rakkas Crew's Bionic Ras riddim. Listen to it here (right-click and save-as).
