We just got a very welcome note in the inbox with deets on Bloc Party's second album, A Weekend In The City, out February 6th of next year. Get ready for Valentines Day kiddos, and read on after the jump.

The facts so far, from press email:

  • Produced by Jacknife Lee of U2 (ok) and Snow Patrol (oof) recording fame in an Irish studio called "Grouse Lodge."

  • Album is inspired by what singer/guitarist Kele Okereke’s calls “the living noise of a metropolis.”

  • Weekend In The City is the "first time the band has ever used strings on any of their recordings." It's also "haunted by the noise of voices" and influenced by Timbo and Aaliyah ballads.

  • Cover art will come courtesy of noted cityscape photographer Rut Blees Luxemburg.

  • We are psyched to hear it (this part was not in the email)

  • Tracklist is as follows:
    1. Song For Clay (Disappear Here)

    2. Hunting For Witches

    3. Waiting For the 7:18

    4. The Prayer

    5. Uniform

    6. On

    7. Where Is Home?

    8. Kreuzberg

    9. I Still Remember

    10. Sunday

    11. SRXT
