In the early days of iTunes, its celebrity playlists erred on the side of wackness because there just wasn't enough music from which to choose. It was like, "I love the Ramones and Run-DMC!" But now that iTunes offers basically every album ever printed, bands such as TV On The Radio can hook up a proper mix. No super-stunners on there, but the stretch from Satie to Liars to Cat Stevens is totally ready for the white glove treatment. Not to mention, Destiny's Child rubbing shoulders with Public Enemy is some kind of wonderful. The lesson for the overly ambitious high school mixtaper: it's about taste, not obscurity. We're not sure which TVOTRer made the mix or wrote the accompanying notes ("If more Christian music sounded like this, I would join the 700 Club."), but feel free to revisit our Kyp Malone feature from F37.
