Social Security

April 10, 2007

We have a sort of strange lust for The Social Registry. Can't explain it really. Won't try. We will however gladly accept their invitation to the Social Club, their new limited edition vinyl subscription service that will release monthly 7-inches by, so far, Brian and Lizzie of Gang Gang, Mick of Orthrelm, Tres of Psychic Ills, Kevin of Growing and a few others all under weird and mysterious monikers. The first release will be from Jena Malone and Her Bloodstains on May 22nd. Yep, that Jena Malone. Nope, it's actually pretty good, wiseass. All Social Club releases will be available on the cybernet as well, but the 7-inches are rare, hand-numbered and letter-pressed and can be played on better Fisher-Price phonographs. Sign up soon though because each is limited to 750 pressings.
