Freeload: Big Tuck, “Stunta Man”
- story THE FADER
Having profiled him in our F56 Dallas rap story, we can vouch that Big Tuck is both big and strong enough to do his own stunts. However, pairing “Stunta Man” with his still fervid
“Not A Stain” is indeed a stunt we couldn’t possibly advise. Aspiring DJs and stunt coordinators alike: consider yourselves warned.

- story THE FADER
We are mega into the concept of Swag School because, like, some people need it really bad, and we generally like to surround ourselves with swaggy folks because, you know, duh. We also like the concept of “Swag Camp” for those with special needs, like people who need to figure out how to up their swag but also need to learn how to swim and ride horses. Equestrianism = that ninety-ninth percentile swag. Even though we are actually gunning for populist ish. For now, let Big Tuck and Fat Bastard, ambassadors of D-Town, be your substitute teachers in the mysterious and ancient arts of freshness. Learn to smell like money! Learn to stay clean! Learn to be a diva or don! Afterwards, you should totally come to our party!

Audio: Gucci Mane & Big Tuck, “Pussy And Patron”
- story THE FADER
Last night, we listened to this song in many permutations to decide which one was best: clean version (”Groupies and Patron”), the dirty version, or the dirty version on headphones. Dirty on headphones won out pretty quickly because of the stuttering bassline undercurrent running below the horn sample. Between this and “Dey Know” we can always feel like we are in that one Chips Ahoy commercial from when swing music was cool and the cookies danced down stairs.
