DJ Mujava f. DJ NonSense, “Superstar” MP3
The Buffetlibre DJs are incredibly prolific with their remixes and have been instrumental in Barcelona’s ongoing love affair with house music, but for their new project they’re stepping up their game something serious. Collaborating with artists from 50 different countries, they’re releasing a massive digital album called Peace, which will be available on the internet in January for a pay-what-you-please price starting at two euros—all proceeds will go towards Amnesty International’s efforts in global humanitarian aid. That is, friends, what you might call hot hot heat—particularly when the list of participating artists includes Micachu & the Shapes, current FADER cover stars Girls, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Marc Almond, Bonde do Role, mum and a jillion others from places like Palestine, Serbia, Greece, China, Iraq, Norway and Ghana. This track, of course, reps South Africa, with the king of township funk getting super freaky with mondo drums and a hot sample reminiscent of the best diva you left behind in your ’90s dark crystal epoch. Also if you happen to be in Budapest this weekend, there’s a Peace party on Saturday at Merlin Club starring Frankmusik, We Plants are Happy Plants and Buffetlibre.

Bonde do Role, “Sarita” MP3
- story Peter Macia
After years of listening to their poppy favela funk with heavy boning overtones, who knows what to make of Bonde do Role’s new foray into samba exclusively about tranny Carnival dancers, but it feels like a good idea. “Sarita” is, according to Paul Devro of Mad Decent, from a new album of similar sounding and similarly themed music, so if that album actually comes out by the end of the year, it should give you plenty of time to prepare for confusing romance at next year’s festivities in Rio, which begin coincidentally the day before Valentine’s Day.

Video: Bonde do Role, “Marina Gasolina”
- story THE FADER
This video is pretty nuts (and scary), but if you’re a fan of Bonjay like we are (we put ‘em on the cover, dudes!), make sure to pick up their Marina Gasolina EP, which includes remixes from Fake Blood and CSS among others.
FADER 50: The New Club + Mad Decent Mix
- story THE FADER
Very few people outside of actual FADER staff have contributed as much, literally and figuratively, to our magazine and website as Philly-Floridian producer/impresario/globetrotter/DJ/good dude Diplo. From helping birth Hollertronix to penning stories for us to continually championing serious jams, he has given us a lot to listen to and think about. So, it made sense, when we decided to reprint our “New Club” feature from the FADER 50 Special Issue which largely revolves around him, that we’d ask Diplo to make a mix to accompany it. The mix we got, made with Mad Decent cohort Paul Devro is, unsurprisingly, not so much about what’s already happened but what is going to happen next, and it is totally nuts. Make the jump for Nick Barat’s feature “Last Night a Remix Saved My Life” from F50, and download the Mad Decent FADER Mix below.
