Citay Record Some Songs and Give Them Away

When there are seven or more people in a band, as there are in Citay, it eliminates all internal politics because everyone can have a purpose. You don’t need to kick anyone out, you can just be like, “Your job on this album is to play the silent guitar and also oversee the official Citay mic stands or whatever.” Of course, Citay have that many members for practical reasons, including epic guitar solos. The Bay Bridged, where these songs are hosted, is apparently a site that gets bands to come into their studio to record a bunch of live songs and then gives them away on the internet for free.

Video: Citay, “Eye On The Dollar”

First things first, we had to get new computers because we tried to jump into this video the first time we watched. We are part-time hippies who can’t really control our animal instincts, so we can get easily confused by crazy “visuals” sometimes. Good for you we are back up and running so that we can report that Citay have subbed out two old guitarists, Jesse and Adria, with two new ones, Josh and Sean. We were worried too at first but then we did the math and turns out that still means there are like 17 guitars going at the same time in this band, so on with the jam sessions. The new lineup will debut at Cafe du Nord in San Fran July 15th.
