Teaser: Sigur Ros At MoMA On Current

We missed Sigur Ros' show at MoMA last month, but we weren't that bummed about it because we knew Current would be there recording the whole thing. They just put up a short teaser, but it does get us excited to watch the full show on Current on August 5th at 10pm EST (you can watch it online as well). And the added bonus is that we will be able to watch it as it was meant to be watched— on a tiny black and white Sony Watchman with a fork jammed in the antenna hole. Epicness.

  • JAM Awards on Current TV

The JAM Awards, which were held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC back in November to great success, will premiere this Saturday, March 1st, at 6pm EST on Current TV. The hour-long program, hosted by Lyricist Lounge founder Anthony Marshall, provides exclusive in-depth coverage of the first annual JAM Awards ceremony, much of which you can preview at the Current site. We picked this video of Dead Prez performing "It's Bigger Than Hip Hop" because it makes us go waaaweewaaaaweeewaaawahhhhhweew etc etc and we need that. Try not to riot hippie college kids!

  • "All Eyes On" My Morning Jacket

Current TV, the cable network founded by Al Gore who The FADER recently partnered with for a symposium on Future of Non-Fiction Film, is expanding its content into the world of music (and the world of The FADER mega-favorites) tonight with the premiere of All Eyes on My Morning Jacket, a video of the Jacket's performance with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra at last year's Lollapalooza. The video was created out of hundreds of fans' videos and photos from both cameras and phones. It debuts at 10pm EST tonight, but you can watch the above teaser to get an idea of what to expect.

    Algore_current_main
Tomorrow along with Current TV FADER Films is hosting an exclusive day of dialogue on the The Future of Non-Fiction Film with 50 of the brightest non-fiction filmmakers at Tribeca Cinemas. Events throughout the day will include discussion and screenings of attendees' works and a keynote speech by former Vice President, defender of the universe, Nobel Prize honoree, Academy Award winner and Current TV founder, Al Gore, and an introduction by The FADER's very own Editor in Chief Alex Wagner. How about that! We will have coverage of the day's events and Al Gore talking later this week exclusively on TheFADER.com, so make sure to check back often.
