This is the new ’50s horror movie version of “Paranoid,” still starring Rihanna, only this time there are schlocky titles and Kanye is a werewolf. We weren’t mad at the previously leaked version, which reminded us of Rod Stewart for some reason, but this one is definitely better. Also, Kanye appears to have tracked all new synths for it—a generous treat. Having spent some time with Kanye at his house and studio while he recorded 808s for our recent cover story, we can tell you that every song on that album has about a thousand different versions, that Kanye probably still records new synths, new drums, new vocals for each just because he feels like it. Time willing, in five years we’ll probably get 808s: The Redux, a five disc box set of updated songs, individual colorways, some fabric swatches and a Kanye-ologram that critiques whatever outfit you’re wearing when you listen to it.

Rihanna does some interpretive dancing and suggestive theater in this video that just showed up on Mr. World Premiere after it was actually world premiered at the Def Jam Spring Preview and then officially world premiered all over the internet. Maybe we’ll post it again when some TV show world premieres it again and then world premiere it on FADER via Kanye’s blog. Good video! Worth five world premieres maybe.

You knew when Kanye started talking about Mr Hudson being bigger than him someday that it would actually be due to Kanye making it so. Kanye is apparently going for Chris Martin’s jugular with this one, and we are honestly surprised at how jamming it is. Maybe not surprised so much as like, HEY COOL GUYS WE ACTUALLY LISTENED TO THE SHIT OUT OF VIVA LA VIDA WHEN YOU WEREN’T AROUND. Only now somehow it will be okay to like this, as long as these fools don’t start wearing Civil War uniforms designed by John Paul Gaultier.
